Description

Double H was carrying a ball in her mouth, her brother Sabre lumbering beside her. They were looking for their friend Kippo as they'd planned to play some fetch on the moon this morning. Eyes looking around the ship's hallway, Sabre opened the door to Kippo's bedroom. He was lounging on the floor, back to his friends and ears flowing in the air. They could see a face above his head in the mental cloud Kippo was forming. Direct as always, Double H dropped her ball and scowled.

"Hey! Kippo! What cha thinkin' bout?" She could see Kippo stiffen up as he sat up straight before he let himself lay back down.

"Oh, hi guys," Kippo replied half-heartedly. "Why are you in here?"

Sabre took a seat beside his friend, smiling kindly. "To pick you up, of course comrade!"

"Ya promised us a game of moon ball, stupid," Double H added, snorting. "Now let's go!"

"I... I don't really wanna..." Kippo mumbled timidly.

Sabre looked concerned. "Why not friend? You're always for the chasin' of the ball!"

Double H gave Kippo a dirty look. "What's eatin' ya? Spit it out already!"

The two siblings knew it had been a month since Kippo's misadventure through time and Sabre had been wondering if Kippo had seen something that bothered him. Sabre was paitient as usual, cocking his ears and head.

"I met a girl, in the past," Kippo finally said.

"Was she pretty?" Double H asked rudely.

Sabre shot his sister a glare, baring his teeth a little. The smaller puppy seemed unfazed.

Kippo squinted his green eyes, confused. "Why does it matter if she's pretty or not?"

"Then why is it botherin' ya so much?" She parroted, huffing.

"Hilary, if you mind," Sabre interrupted. "Our comrade is suffering from his trip to the past, please be more considerate."

She only rolled her eyes, though let Kippo speak. "She was my friend and helped me," he added.

"Ya made friends with someone in the past?!" Double H's jaw dropped. "Ya coulda screwed the timeline up! Did ya tell auntie Brainy?"

"No, because I know mommy would be a little upset," Kippo whimpered. "What did you expect me to do? Wait alone and stuff? I don't like being alone..."

Sabre looked sympathetic. "Do you know how long you went, comrade?"

"No..."

Double H, looking irked, just wrinkled her nose. "It don't matter now. Now cheer up, Mental Butt, we gotta game ta play!"
