This is indeed a bit of vent art for myself. I know how Atticus feels, though, course my entire family wasn't murdered but... Life has been complicated and very lonely lately. I'm going from doctor to doctor, therapy and advic haven't done much and the doctors can't find out whats wrong with me exactly, though, they have some clue. Anxiety is constant and I don't go to school anymore for now and might have to go to a special place soon. Anixety is turning into phobias and yea. I miss being a normal kid but I doubt that'll ever happen again. Other people have more severe problems than I, and I know and I probably sound like a baby or a brat for talking like I'm the only one but I need to get things off my chest.
Anyway, I like how this came out, Avin and Ester are blurred for a reason so you focus on Atticus. Plase, leave your comments, critiques etc...

Much better than myself, so don't focus too much on my Critique.
I love the way you made the cats in the background blurry, like a distant memory hence the title of the artwork.
I really enjoyed how you managed to capture his expression like this, and how easy it is too tell his feelings. I think the anatomy is better than a lot of artists so don't judge yourself too harshly on that.
Overall though, I don't think there is really anything bad about this picture. If anyone were to be bagging on this or commenting badly its because they are jealous.
Trust me I'm jealous too, but I just feel like I wish I could draw like this. Its an amazing talent.
But as I said, this is a very nice piece of artwork!
